    How to transcribe a podcast

Export the episode from your recording or editing software, or download it from your host, then upload it. Scriptivox writes out the conversation with the host and each guest labelled, in more than 100 languages, ready to publish, quote or turn into subtitles.

    1. Export the episode

Use the final mix from your editor, the raw recording, or the file from your podcast host. Audio (MP3, WAV, M4A) and video (MP4, MOV) both work.

    2. Upload with speaker recognition

Drop the file in, pick the language, and switch on speaker recognition so the host and each guest get their own label.

    3. Publish from the text

Rename the speakers, fix any word in the editor, get a summary to start your show notes, and export a transcript (DOCX, PDF, TXT) or subtitles (SRT, VTT).

    What podcasters use transcripts for

    • Transcripts on the episode pagePublish the full text next to each episode, so listeners can search it and read along.
    • Show notesStart from the summary and the timestamps instead of listening back through the whole episode.
    • Subtitles for video podcastsExport SRT or VTT files for YouTube and social clips.
    • Quotes and clipsSearch for a line, jump to that moment in the audio, and copy the exact words.
