How to transcribe a voice memo on iPhone

The iPhone Voice Memos app saves each recording as an M4A file. Share the memo out of the app, upload it to Scriptivox, and you get the text, with timestamps and a label for each speaker, in more than 100 languages.

    1. Share the memo

In Voice Memos, tap the recording, tap the three dots and choose Share, then Save to Files, AirDrop it to your Mac, or email it to yourself.

    2. Upload it

Drop the M4A file in, from your phone or your computer, and pick its language or let Scriptivox detect it.

    3. Use the text

Search the transcript, jump to any moment from a word, get a summary, and export it to PDF, DOCX, TXT or subtitles.
