How to transcribe qualitative research recordings

Upload an interview or focus group, and Scriptivox writes it out with a label for each speaker and a timestamp on every line. Rename the speakers to your participant codes, check quotes against the audio, and export the transcript for coding.

    1. Upload the session

Audio or video from your recorder, phone or video call (MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4 and most other formats).

    2. Code the speakers

Rename the labels to Interviewer, P1, P2 and so on, and play back any line to check it.

    3. Export for analysis

DOCX or TXT for your coding software, CSV with speaker and timestamp per line, or PDF to share.
