This is a full transcode rather than a container swap, because MPEG-1 is not one of the codecs FLV carries. Every frame is decoded and re-encoded as H.264.
Alternate audio tracks are dropped, because FLV carries one audio stream where MPEG allows several.
One practical gain here: FLV is streaming-friendly, so the converted file begins playing while it is still downloading.
